(“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information about you when you visit maravecostarica.com or contact us with an inquiry. It also describes your rights under applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other applicable privacy legislation.

4. TCPA Compliance (United States)
By providing your phone number and checking the TCPA consent checkbox on our inquiry forms, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated marketing text messages and pre-recorded voice calls from Maravé, Resort & Residences and Property Pro Partners, Inc. at the phone number you provided.

- Analytics (Google LLC: Google Analytics GA4, processed in the United States under Google's data processing terms and Standard Contractual Clauses).
- Advertising (Meta Platforms, Inc.: Meta Pixel, processed in the United States; Meta acts as a joint controller for certain processing).
6.3 Referral Partners
If you were referred to us by a licensed real estate broker or agent, we may share your inquiry status with that referring party for the purposes of commission tracking and follow-up coordination.
6.4 Legal Disclosures
We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, prevent fraud, or ensure the safety of our users.
6.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or restructuring, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via the email address on file before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
7. International Data Transfers

8. Data Retention
We retain personal data for the following periods:
- Inquiry and contact data: 5 years from the date of last contact, or until you request deletion, whichever is earlier. This period reflects the typical sales cycle for pre-construction luxury real estate.
- Marketing consent records: Retained for the duration of the marketing relationship plus 3 years, to demonstrate compliance in the event of a regulatory inquiry.
- Cookie consent records: 180 days (stored in browser). Audit logs of consent timestamps are retained for 2 years.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default. We configure GA4 to the minimum retention period consistent with our reporting needs.
- Legal records: Retained for as long as required by applicable law (typically 7 years for financial and transaction records).
After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized so that it can no longer be attributed to you.
9. Your Rights (EEA and UK Residents)
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

- Rights related to automated decision-making (Art. 22): We do not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at marave@propertypropartners.com. We will respond within 30 days. Where a request is complex or numerous, we may extend this period by a further two months and will notify you accordingly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. EEA residents may find their relevant authority at edpb.europa.eu. UK residents may contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
10. Your Rights (Costa Rica Residents)
Costa Rica's Law No. 8968 on the Protection of the Individual Against the Processing of Personal Data (Ley de Protección de la Persona Frente al Tratamiento de sus Datos Personales) grants you rights including:
- The right to access data held about you (ARCO rights: Acceso, Rectificación, Cancelación, Oposición).
- The right to have inaccurate data corrected.
- The right to request deletion of data that is no longer necessary.
- The right to object to processing for commercial purposes.

11. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA grants you additional rights. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes without your opt-in consent.
Your rights under the CCPA/CPRA include:
- Right to Know: Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the preceding 12 months.
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.

12. Security

In the event of a data breach affecting your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected individuals and relevant supervisory authorities as required by law.
13. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
14. Links to Third-Party Websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including LXR Hotels & Resorts, Google Maps, and virtual tour platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
15. Changes to This Policy
