Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the signing of Maravé Manuel Antonio, LXR Hotels & Resorts, on August 27, 2026. The announcement marks LXR’s upcoming debut in Costa Rica and a further step in Hilton’s luxury expansion across the Caribbean and Latin America.
The estate sits on 40 acres of titled land that descends from rainforest ridge to 650 feet of Pacific beachfront, minutes from Manuel Antonio National Park. The project pairs an LXR hotel with 116 fully furnished branded residences: 66 private villas, 46 condominiums, and 4 penthouses.
Hilton anticipates the resort will open in 2029. Residence sales are expected to launch in fall 2026, with construction targeted for completion in late 2028.

Why Hilton signed Maravé
Hilton described Manuel Antonio as a natural fit for LXR Hotels & Resorts, its collection of independent luxury properties chosen for distinctive character, bespoke service, and a close connection to place. The residential collection also expands Hilton’s branded-residence presence in resort markets.
“We are thrilled to partner with Hilton to bring LXR Hotels & Resorts to Manuel Antonio,” said Bruce Begia, president, Ocean Cove MA Development One S.A. “This project is designed to create a unique destination that connects guests with Costa Rica’s natural environment while delivering exceptional luxury and service.”
The first LXR Residences in Latin America
Hilton called Maravé Manuel Antonio, LXR Residences the first LXR Residences in Latin America, and one of Costa Rica’s few opportunities to own a branded luxury home. The 116 residences overlook the Pacific. Villas step down the hillside with private plunge pools. Condominiums and penthouses share the same ocean-facing orientation and resort access.

Carazo Arquitectura designed the estate to follow the land rather than flatten it. Hilton’s announcement also notes interiors by Curioso, with natural stone, warm wood, and walls of glass, and a mass-timber approach intended to keep each residence oriented to the ocean.
What owners and guests will share
The LXR resort is planned around the beach club as the social center of the estate: pools, oceanfront dining, cabanas, and concierge service through the day. Hilton’s announcement also describes chef-led dining, the MARAVÉ Speakeasy Bar, a spa and wellness sanctuary, a fitness center with jungle and sea views, and a youth and activity club.

Residence owners receive Hilton Honors Diamond status and benefits across Hilton’s luxury portfolio. Hotel guests will have access to Hilton Honors as well.
